We have completed many sports halls, and by focusing on the clients requirements in terms of budget, time scales and specification, have created outstanding facilities whilst minimising disruption.

We recently completed the de Ferrers Sports Hall in Staffordshire where the client was looking for an alternative cost effective solution to using a steel frame with brick and block cladding type construction.

The structure needed to be robust, maintenance free, thermally efficient and having no internal obtrusions - whilst still giving all the benefits of a traditional built Sports Hall, but erected in a fraction of the time.

Buchan Special Projects proposed a scheme using precast concrete sandwich panel wall system, combined with a castellated steel beam roof structure, which sits on a traditional foundation.

The accommodation consisted of Sports Hall, changing and shower rooms, two classrooms, fitness suite, plant room and storage facilities.

The whole project from excavation of foundations, to completion of fit-out, including landscaping, took just 28 weeks.
