FASTCAST BATHROOM PODS FROM BUCHAN CONCRETE SOLUTIONS HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED TO OFFER A COMPLETE PRECAST SOLUTION FOR A WIDE RANGE OF PROJECTS INCLUDING HOSPITALS, HOTELS, RESIDENTIAL AND HIGH RISE APARTMENTS, SOCIAL HOUSING DEVELOPMENTS, HIGH SECURITY ACCOMMODATION AND STUDENT ACCOMMODATION SCHEMES.

Bathroom Pods are factory engineered as precast concrete shells, which can be decorated and fully fitted out with bathroom furniture and sanitaryware.

The modular pods are manufactured in sections from lightweight reinforced concrete units with a typical wall thickness of 60mm. Individual units are cast in high quality steel moulds available in a range of geometric types and sizes.

Once cast, the sections are joined and sealed to create a robust shell structure, providing all necessary service outlets to allow the external and internal fit-out of mechanical and electrical fittings to be carried out efficiently and enabling quick and easy commissioning on site.

COORDINATED DESIGN PROCESS
Working closely with the architect, we ensure every detail is considered. Detailed testing and inspection of a prototype further ensure that all potential problems are identified before production. FASTCAST Bathroom Pods are increasingly selected as the optimum solution for construction schemes where there is a significan need for numerous bathrooms of a similar type and specification.

Benefits include simplification of the on-site programme, achieving high levels of quality, maintaining “as-built” quality by keeping units locked until completion. QUALITY FINISHING,
COMMISSIONING AND INSTALLATION
Internally, the Bathroom Pods are finished to the highest quality in a variety of materials, utilising a wide range of fixtures and fittings to meet customer requirements.

The entire process is carried out within a controlled factory environment, where skilled teams of tilers, plumbers, electricians and bathroom fitters work together to construct the finished units. Every stage is monitored and strictly controlled by Buchan’s Quality Assurance procedures.

Our 100% inspection process ensures that all pods are tested before leaving the factory to check they have been produced to exact customer specifications. Once installed and commissioned on site, the units are immediately ready for operational use.
